Construction Steps for Plaza Paving Tiles

Pavement Tiles The varieties, specifications, colors, patterns, and grades shall comply with the design requirements. Product quality must meet the national standard for square bricks and be accompanied by a product certificate of conformity. Products that are found to be chipped, cracked, or damaged at corners, edges, or surfaces must immediately cease production. During construction, loosening or exposure to moisture is strictly prohibited on-site. Essential tools and materials include screens, window screens, wooden shovels, iron shovels, small trowels, straight wooden strips, spirit levels, ink lines, eight-shaped rulers, line guides, hardwood partitions, brooms, water buckets, nutcrackers, wooden hammers, wire, large plumb bobs, steel knives, diamond cutting machines, and mixing tools for mortar preparation. 1. When unpacking, please check the product specifications, dimensions, color codes, etc., and arrange identical products together. Do not mix different products unless you intentionally aim for a special effect.

2. On the paving Pavement Tiles First, conduct a trial laying of the tiles to determine the appropriate tiling pattern based on the adhesive method. If the paving tiles feature patterns or directional designs, ensure that they are laid according to the product’s intended orientation for optimal visual effects. Additionally, clearly distinguish between tiles of different color codes and sizes, marking them accordingly. After grouping tiles with identical color codes or dimensions, consider utilizing adjacent colors and sizes from the same batch in the surrounding areas. During the pre-laying process, carefully draw two perpendicular lines across the prepared surface and use a spirit level to verify the alignment of the leveling tool.

3. To clear the site, start by spraying water to facilitate construction. It is recommended to mix 325# cement mortar into the existing mortar at a ratio of 1:3 (ensure that the mortar dosage does not exceed 200#, as excessive use may lead to uneven shrinkage stress during the later curing stage due to the high mortar grade). Pavement Tiles According to the design dimension lines, a seam should be reserved between the lines, with a typical width ranging from 5 mm to 12 mm.

4. During paving, the surface should be firmly compacted after the base layer work is completed. During the paving process, gentle manual pushing can be applied to ensure proper placement. Pavement Tiles The base and the paving surface are balanced, making it easy to expel excess air bubbles. Next, gently tap the brick surface with a wooden mallet to ensure the brick base fully absorbs the mortar. To prevent hollow drumming, continue tapping evenly with the wooden mallet until the brick is perfectly level. Finally, use a spirit level to verify that the square brick is placed horizontally.

5. For side paving and side joints, use cement mortar for grouting; color additives can also be incorporated as needed. Typically, the joint width ranges from 5 to 12 mm, with a depth of 2 mm. Ensuring a solid substrate and full-grouted joints will significantly enhance the durability of the square tiles, preventing detachment and subsequent cracking during use and maintenance.

6. During construction, wood veneer should be evenly spread over the paving surface in a timely manner. Use a broom to clean up any excess material thoroughly, and wipe away any cement or other debris adhering to the brick surface. This prevents dirt from being trapped for too long, making it harder to remove later. Twelve hours after laying the paving bricks, gently tap the surface to check for hollow sounds. If you hear a "hollow" tone, it indicates that the underlying area is empty and needs to be re-laid.

7. Between 10 and 24 hours Pavement Tiles You may now proceed with the cleaning process. Mix the facial cleanser with clean water, then use it to scrub the paving bricks thoroughly. As a result, the bright and vibrant square tiles will reveal themselves before your eyes. Please note that construction work cannot be carried out during the cold winter months. When temperature fluctuations drop below 5°C, anti-freeze measures must be implemented by adding cement-concrete mortar. After completion of the work, cover the tile surface with straw mats for insulation, which will help accelerate the hardening and curing process of the cement used in the tiles. During the installation of square tiles, ensure proper hydration by regularly spraying water onto the surface. This step is crucial for enhancing the bond between the cement mortar and the paving bricks. Typically, after a curing period of 15 days, the square tiles can safely be put into normal use.
