What is ecological paving stone?

In essence, these tiles are fully-bodied, genuine granite-imitation bricks characterized by their elegant design, ease of installation, and a texture that closely resembles natural granite. They boast an exceptionally high level of realism while offering superior hardness compared to traditional granite. Widely adopted over the years in regions such as Japan and Hong Kong, they have established themselves as a green, environmentally friendly, and highly sustainable paving solution.
Ecological paving stones are manufactured using natural stone powder as the raw material. After being pressed into shape, they undergo high-temperature firing at 1250°C. During this process, the natural stone powder melts and subsequently recrystallizes upon cooling, resulting in a highly dense and exceptionally hard paving material. This material exhibits outstanding resistance to acids and alkalis, as well as superior performance in frost resistance, compressive strength, and abrasion resistance.
Ecological paving stones are suitable for a variety of applications, including areas accessible to large trucks, municipal projects, residential community landscape pathways, leisure plazas, garden landscaping, and public parking lots in parks.
What are the common characteristics of ecological paving stones?
Ecological paving stones feature aesthetic appeal, excellent anti-slip properties, resistance to dirt, wear, and compression (comparable to the durability of 3- to 5-cm-thick stone materials), as well as non-fading characteristics and easy maintenance in the post-construction phase.
1. All-ceramic, through-body material with high vitrification, low water absorption, ensuring superior slip resistance, wear resistance, high flexural strength, and excellent stain resistance for easy cleaning and maintenance.
2. High load-bearing capacity: Formed using an Italian-imported SACMI press weighing over 4,500 tons, the bricks undergo high-temperature firing at more than 1,250°C, ensuring exceptional wear resistance, compressive strength, and resistance to stains and discoloration.
3. Based on the surface of natural stone materials, special molds are crafted with straight-edge finishing and precise dimensions, ensuring both anti-slip performance and easy cleaning. This results in aesthetically pleasing paving that stands out from ordinary plaza tiles.
4. The product is crafted from a solid material and undergoes seven specialized processing steps, giving it exceptional wear resistance, anti-slip properties, high stain resistance, and ease of cleaning. Stone itself is a non-renewable resource, and in recent years, environmental regulations have become increasingly stringent, placing higher demands on sustainability. As a result, many quarries have been shut down, driving up the cost of stone usage. Consequently, the gradual replacement of non-renewable resources with sustainable, eco-friendly materials has emerged as an undeniable trend.
